Enter the Academy

MiDi stood nervously in front of Turbo's office.  Walking inside this office would give her one thing: the information on whether or not she could go to the Academy and become a Guardian.  Sure, it sounded like no big deal, but Mp3 had been wanting to be a Guardian since before her first upgrade.  In her mind, her whole life rested on the next few moments.  She took a breath, set her shoulders, and walked in.

Turbo glanced up as she entered.

   "Ah, you'll be...Miss Pixel?"

   "Yeah, I mean, yes sir."

He nodded. "And I'm guessing you want to know if you've been accepted into Guardian Academy."

   "Yes, sir."

He shuffled through his files, and she stood awkwardly for him to finish.

"Pixel, Pixel...ah, Pixel!" he produced a folder, and opened it promptly.  He examined the contents at length.  So much at length, Mp3 decided it couldn't be anything good. "Well, Miss Pixel," he began at last, "It appears to me, after studying this file, that you are a very intelligent young sprite.  One that any organization would be proud to have.  One that we would be proud to have." he smiled and extended his hand. "Welcome aboard, MiDi."

The new cadet smiled, and took the hand that was offered. "Just one thing, sir."

   He chuckled. "One thing?"

   "Mp3, sir.  I hate MiDi."

He chuckled again. "I'll keep that in mind, cadet."
