Cooking with Mouse

Mouse looked at the bag of tortillas on the counter in front of her.  She looked up at the camera, smiled, and said

"Good Afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!  Today, you'll be learnin' to make tacos!"

She stopped, and looked at Dot, who was waving her arms around franticly behind camera.  She mouthed to Mouse, FISH!  FISH!

"Oh, this is great!" Mouse cried sarcastically.  "Someone tells me tacos, I get stuff for tacos, we're makin' fish!  Why don't I ever get any info?"

Searching desperately for something to do, Mouse grinned (completely fake), and said,

   "Well, we'll improvise."

She picked up the fish, a salmon this time, and dropped it on to the counter.  Ducking into the cupboards, she pulled out a food processor.  She lifted the fish gingerly above the buzzing appliance, and...

"What the idea is," Mouse explained loudly over the grinding racket the fish was making in the food processor, "is to grind the salmon to a pulp, so you can use it like chunk tuna in water!  It's really works pretty good!"

She turned off the grinder, pulled out a tortilla and some oil, and threw them together in a frying pan.  She then poured the salmon-puree into the middle, and threw on some spices.

"Now, all you have to do is fold it like a burrito, and wait for all that blood to evaporate and burn up, and then you've got a fish-wrap!"

She grinned hugely as the closing credits were projected over her and the boiling-in-oil-fish-wrap.  Then, she ran over to Dot, and said

"So?  How was that for spur-of-the-moment recipe?"

Dot shook her head, but said only

   "I've seen better..."
